i’m now aN Approved provider by the birth trauma association

I’m delighted to share that I am now an approved provider with the Birth Trauma Association, a recognition of my commitment to supporting women who have experienced traumatic births. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck after a difficult birthing experience, I want you to know that you’re not alone—and healing is possible.

What is Birth Trauma?

Birth trauma can happen from events during pregnancy, labour, delivery and postnatally that feel overwhelming, frightening, or out of your control. It might stem from a medical emergency, a lack of support during the process, or even how you felt about your care. These experiences can leave lasting emotional scars, with symptoms such as anxiety, panic, flashbacks, or feelings of disconnection from your baby or yourself.

How I Can Help

As a trauma therapist, I use compassionate and evidence-based approaches, including EMDR Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Art Psychotherapy, to gently help you process the pain and make sense of what happened. Together, we’ll work on restoring a sense of safety, confidence, and connection.

Recovering from birth trauma isn’t just about healing the pain—it’s about rediscovering joy. It can lead to feeling more at ease in your body, greater emotional balance, and most importantly, an improved bond with your baby. When a mother feels supported and understood, it creates space for love, trust, and connection to flourish again.

If this resonates with you, please know you don’t have to face it alone. You deserve support, and I’d be honoured to walk this journey with you.
